Advanced Automation Solution to Overcome Labor, Space Constraints

With the Smart Styler™, the EnSight Automation team worked closely with Stäubli Robotics and Oxipital AI to create a compact, automated picking solution.

The Smart Styler utilizes Oxipital AI’s 3D vision and artificial intelligence solutions to identify and place products on a moving conveyor. The camera picks out individual items and directs the robot to pick them up and realign them for further processing or packaging.

The standard robot is a Stäubli TS2-60 6-axis robot and can perform up to 60 picks per minute with high accuracy. If used in the food processing industry, the robot is available in a hygienic version that can be washed down with caustic chemicals.

The solution is ideal for processors where products are moving quickly in a chaotic flow and need to be restyled before packaging or further processing. In addition, with a footprint of less than 75 square feet, it can be integrated into smaller spaces than other singulation solutions.
